Renee Findling

Ministry Coordinator | Treasurer

Renee Findling was originally a member of Crossroads Wauseon starting in 2003 and then she joined us at Crossroads Napoleon in 2011.  She is currently the Ministry Coordinator at our church.  She is married to John Findling, a member of our Safety Team, and has twin daughters.  Maryn and Shalyn (both 19 years old) serve in the Children’s Ministry as teachers, helpers, and nursery workers.  They are planning on starting college in the fall.

Renee was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She attended the University of Pittsburgh for Metallurgical Engineering (1990) and started her career at Weirton Steel in Weirton, WV.  In 1997, John and Renee moved to Liberty Center as Weirton Steel was slowly shutting down over a decade of time.  She wanted to continue her career in the steel industry and made a leap of faith to move away from her hometown. She became friends with individuals who started to tell her about Jesus and invited her to attend Crossroads Wauseon with them.

Prior to working at the church, Renee worked 19 years full time and 4 years part time at NorthStar Bluescope Steel in Delta.

John and Renee enjoyed going to the girls basketball and volleyball games when they were in middle school. The girls also became heavily involved in 4H and horses so horse shows were a regular family event. The family also does some farming such as baling hay which helps support the horses, cows, goats, and other animals that have been at the Findling barn.

Renee has led a ladies bible study since 2018. This group has had many of the same members since this time.  In the fall, Renee plans on starting a new group as this group has many ladies solid in their faith to continue supporting the group.  The Findling family has had a Basque student stay at their home for the past 2 years.

Renee enjoys being a good steward of the money so generously given to Crossroads.  As part of the management team, she loves to concentrate on how money is being spent and explores every avenue to determine the lowest price to get what we need to best serve our church members and the community.
