Terry and Ann Barringer began attending Crossroads Napoleon January 2018. Crossroads has been part of a “new-beginning” , next chapter in their lives as God performed a “great work” as He brought this widow and widower together in matrimony on January 6, 2018. Together they have been blessed with 7 children and 9 grandchildren, most of whom live within the area. Grandchildren ages range from 17 to 2 months so watching baseball/softball/swimming or simply enjoying family time fills the calendar.
Together they lead a small group which meets immediately after Sunday service and is open to anyone. They also minister in the cafe and Ann enjoys time in the Church nursery. Ann is an avid dog lover and volunteers at Fulton County Humane Society. Ann is active in TAPS(Tragedy Assistance Program Survivors); an advocacy program for surviving members of fallen soldiers. Ann works per diem at Bowling Green Orthopedics as she applies her medical skills.
Terry is immensely enjoying retirement after 40 years at Johns Manville in Waterville Ohio. Hobbies include bicycling, gardening, golfing(hack), and simply enjoying the outdoors. Terry traveled to Malawi in 2023 developing relationships with several people. It has been a great honor to work with Pastor Robert Manda at New Life Church and Blessings Masache at Ntande Church. Travel arrangements are in place to return July 2024 with plans to build desks and chairs for the Christian School on New Life Church property. He anticipates several visits to Ntande Church to strengthen relationships developed last year and meet several more people as this church has grown significantly! LifeWise Academy is also a priority in Terry’s life as he chaperones kids back and forth on the “red” bus! This ministry continues to be effective in sharing the gospel and encouraging development of positive character traits to the Napoleon school age community.
Terry and Ann also support Renewed Mind and the recovering community as they provide transportation to Sunday Services. Both are open to serving Crossroads Church in larger fashion, possibly leading Bible Study groups with topics, locations and meeting times variable, dependent on participants input. Terry and Ann are excited to be part of the Crossroads family and encourage others on our journey as “jokes in progress”.
