Wes grew up in central Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois before moving to Ohio, after meeting his wife, Lynne. They have been married since 1991 and have two married daughters and four young grandchildren. Wes and Lynne enjoy spending time with their family and count their relationships with their children and grandchildren among God’s greatest gifts to them.

Wes earned a master’s degree in clinical social work and attended Grace Theological Seminary. He joined the pastoral staff of Crossroads Church in Wauseon in 1995 and, in 2008, he and Lynne had the privilege of moving to Napoleon to help launch Crossroads Napoleon. Wes considers serving as a pastor at Crossroads Napoleon one of the primary joys and privileges of his life. His background also includes work in a private counseling practice, which continues to shape the way he cares for and walks alongside people.

Outside of church, Wes enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time in his woodworking shop. He is a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan and closely follows University of Illinois sports. Wes is deeply grateful for the influence the local church has had on his own life.  He believes God is still using the local church to change lives and impact the world by helping connect people to authentic faith in Jesus.
