Philippians 4:2-9 | Peace is Possible
What keeps you up at night? For many of us—especially dads—it’s the weight of the future, the relationships that won’t resolve, and the circumstances we desperately want to control. We lay awake running the loop, exhausted from the inside out.
But what if anxiety isn’t just a mental health struggle? What if, at its core, it’s a worship problem?
This Sunday, we’re looking at what happens when our love of control overrides our trust in God. Through the lens of Philippians 4, a dark night in a garden, and three men thrown into a fiery furnace, we will discover how Jesus offers us a peace that transcends our circumstances. He might not always pull us out of the fire, but He always steps into the flames with us. Join us to find out how to let the Prince of Peace guard your heart.
Join us Sunday at 9AM or 11AM.

Happy Father’s Day!
To the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures
Today, we pause to simply say thank you. Fatherhood is a profound calling—it is an everyday, lifelong mission field where the quietest acts of love, provision, and presence leave an eternal impact.
Scripture tells us, “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him” (Psalm 103:13). In your protection, your steady guidance, and your tender care, you give us a beautiful, living glimpse of our Heavenly Father’s heart. Thank you for modeling what it looks like to walk in integrity (Proverbs 20:7) and for faithfully pointing your families toward the truth of the Gospel.
We also know that carrying the title of “Dad” is heavy work, and that no father gets it right all of the time. But the beauty of the Gospel is that you don’t have to be perfect; you only have to be anchored to the One who is. Thank you for showing us what humility, repentance, and grace look like in real time. By bringing your own weaknesses to the cross, you teach your children how to trust and rely on Jesus for themselves.
Thank you for the early mornings, the late-night worries, the bad jokes that make us smile, the unseen sacrifices, and the prayers you pray when no one else is listening. The work you do matters immensely. You are seen, you are valued, and you are deeply loved.
May the Lord bless you and grant you His peace, His enduring strength, and a defiant joy as you continue to lead your families.
Happy Father’s Day!

☀️ Church Family Pool Day ☀️
Heyo! Mark your calendars for July 11th because we are heading to the Napoleon Public Pool for a Church Family Pool Day!
We talk a lot around here about the idea of making “fridge friends”—you know, the kind of people you’re so comfortable with that they can just walk into your house and grab a LaCroix out of the fridge without even asking. But here’s the thing: those deep, authentic relationships rarely happen just by sitting in rows on Sunday mornings.
Sometimes, you just need to get out and recreate together! Taking the time to just hang out, play, and share some laughs outside of our normal routines is one of the absolute best ways to deepen our relationships and build real community.
So grab your swimsuits, pack the sunscreen, and get ready for an awesome afternoon. We’ll be sharing more details soon, but for now, make sure to save the date!

There is a new Christian school starting this fall called Defiance Christian Academy, enrolling students K-6 (maybe 7-8). The DCA mission is to educate students with a Biblical worldview, disciple them to follow Jesus Christ, and prepare them to impact their community for the glory of God. We partner with parents to foster a love for all that is Good, True, and Beautiful.
Due to Ed-Choice Scholarships from the state, this school will be affordable. To learn more, go to defiancechristianacademy.com, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates. We are also looking for Founding Partners who are passionate about Christian education and want to help.
