Psalm 73 | Waking up to Reality
God’s Word is just the best. For real! It never ceases to amaze me how such an old book can still be so incredibly relevant. As one preacher I enjoy listening to says (and I stole it and now say it myself), “The Bible doesn’t just tell us what happened… it tells us what always happens.” But it does so without leaving us hopeless!
Have you ever envied the wicked? Sure you have. We all have. This world is seductive, and summer might be the most pointed time of all, with vacations and leisure pushed right to the forefront of our eyes. We’ve all envied the rich and famous and wondered to ourselves: Am I following Jesus for nothing?
We’re not alone in that thought. Asaph was a worship leader in Israel who felt exactly what we feel. He wrote a psalm about it, and God in His infinite wisdom knew we would all be blessed to hear Asaph walk through this tension.
I can’t wait for you to join us this Sunday as we learn together: we lose our footing when we stare only at the present, but we find our ground when God reveals reality.

Mark your calendars! We are heading to the Napoleon Aquatic Center for an awesome Church Family Pool Night this Thursday, July 11th from 6-9pm. Best of all, this event is completely free!
We talk a lot around here about building “fridge friends”—the kind of people who are so comfortable at your house they can just walk in and grab a drink out of the fridge without asking. But those deep, authentic relationships rarely happen just by sitting in rows on Sunday mornings. Sometimes, you just need to get out and play together! Taking the time to hang out, share some laughs, and relax outside of our normal routines is one of the absolute best ways to build real community.
Even if you don’t plan on swimming, grab a towel and come anyway for the fellowship! While dinner isn’t provided, the pool’s concession stand will be open if you want to grab some snacks or a cool drink.
Missed the sign-up deadline? Don’t sweat it! Even if you didn’t RSVP, we would still absolutely love to have you show up and join us!
🛟 Friends Over 50 Pool Party 🛟
Hey Friends Over 50! Grab your towel and join us this Saturday for a great evening together at our church-wide pool party at the Napoleon Aquatic Center.
And don’t worry—you absolutely do not have to swim to join in on the fun! You are more than welcome to just relax on the deck, catch up, and enjoy the summer evening fellowship. Just a heads up: if you plan to stay dry on the sidelines, you might want to pick a seat far away from the edge—with all the church kiddos in the pool, the entire deck is officially a splash zone!
🍅 The Harvest Corner | Cafe Produce Stand 🌽
Do you have a backyard garden that is overflowing with tomatoes, zucchini, or fresh herbs? We are excited to open up a church Produce Stand right in the corner of the cafe!
If you have an abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, or garden goods and want to share them with your church family, feel free to bring them in and place them on the stand. Anyone is welcome to stop by, check out the selection, and take home some fresh goodies. It’s a wonderful, practical way to bless one another and share in the harvest the Lord has provided!
⚠️ Note: To keep everything fresh and healthy for everyone, our team will be checking the stand weekly and clearing out any items that are wilting or moldy.
📦 Food & Supply Drive for Hayat Jadida 🥫
July 12 – August 2
We are hosting a drive to support Hayat Jadida, a Christ-centered, diverse family of believers in Toledo, Ohio consisting of both Arabic and English speakers. While they are not currently receiving new refugee families, they are deeply committed to continuing their ministry, evangelizing, and building long-term relationships with the families they have already served. Having food to distribute gives their team a vital reason and opportunity to visit these homes, check in on them, and share the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
Because there are specific dietary needs for the families we are supporting, we ask that you pick up a tag in the lobby this Sunday morning with the specific items you would like to donate.
How You Can Help:
- Pantry & Food Items: Please bring non-perishable food and pantry staples to the church kitchen.
- Cleaning Supplies: We are also collecting household cleaning items to help support these homes.
- Monetary Donations: If you would rather donate money to help supply perishable items (like eggs & butter), please drop your donation at the church office.
Please ensure all physical items are brought to the church kitchen no later than Sunday, August 2nd, as we will be delivering all of the food to them on Monday, August 3rd. Your generosity provides tangible relief and creates a doorway for the freedom found in Christ to be shared with our neighbors!

LifeWise Henry County | Get Involved!
LifeWise is a release-time religious education program that buses children (with parent permission) off school property during the day to learn about God, the Bible, and Christian character. We’ve partnered with them from the beginning because it perfectly aligns with our mission to help the lost get found and the found live free in Jesus!
We proudly support LifeWise across all of Henry County. Please pray over these two pressing needs and consider getting involved:
