Revelation 2:8-11; 3:7-13 | Held

This Sunday, let’s talk about grip.

We all hold on to something. Money. Comfort. Our reputation. A busy schedule. Maybe a storage unit full of stuff we haven’t touched in years. Most of us hold those things a lot tighter than we’d like to admit.

At the end of the Bible, Jesus sends short letters to seven small churches. Two of them were poor, pushed out, and barely hanging on. They’d lost everything people usually look to for strength and reassurance. No growth. No influence. No power. Nothing that would prove they were doing it right. And yet those are the only two Jesus has nothing bad to say about.

So what were they holding on to? And what would He find in our hands?

Join us this Sunday as we look at what these two churches got right, and why holding on to Jesus might be what finally frees us from gripping everything else so tightly.

Crossroads Leadership Loop-in | Sunday, October 4th 6-7PM

True leadership is about influence, not a title. Our elders, management team, and staff have been praying, watching where God is moving, and wrestling with where He is calling us next. We are so fired up about these conversations that we want to bring our entire church family into them for an open, honest look at the future of Crossroads Napoleon!

What to Expect During the Hour:

  • Who We Are & Where God Is Moving: Re-grounding in our core vision—helping the lost get found and the found live free—plus hearing three powerful, real-life stories of God at work in our church.
  • Where He Is Leading Us: Exploring a relational shift toward deeper connections (“Smaller, Slower, Lesser, Lower”), how we are equipping you to do the work of ministry, and prayerful considerations around our people, facilities, and church schedule.
  • United Prayer & Feedback: Closing with intentional prayer for leadership wisdom, unity, lost individuals in Henry County, and surrendered plans.

We’re not rolling out new programs or announcing fixed decisions—we simply want to share our heart, open clear lines of communication, and invite you to join us in prayer.

👶 Childcare is provided!

☕ Help Us Create a Space for Community at the Crossroads Café!

Food and coffee have a special way of helping us connect and build community! We are looking for volunteers to join our team to help set up the Café, as well as food providers to bring in fresh fruit or baked goods (homemade or store-bought are both great!).

  • Setup Volunteers: Help prepare the coffee and snacks before services.
  • Food Providers: Bring fresh fruit, pastries, or baked goods to share.

Moneywise | A 5-Week Biblical Finance Class

Are you looking to get on the right track with your finances, or simply want to learn more about managing your money well? Whether you are married, single, or engaged—and whether you are thriving financially or currently struggling—this class is for everyone.

Join us for a 5-week journey exploring biblical principles on stewardship, budgeting, generosity, debt, and saving. Our goal is to help you understand what the Bible says about money and to partner with you in practically applying it to your own unique situation.

What We’ll Cover:

  • Week 1: Stewardship – Learn what it means to be a steward, managing possessions that ultimately belong to God.
  • Week 2: Spending Plan – Living on a budget isn’t strictly required in the Bible, but we believe it is a very wise practice.
  • Week 3: Generosity – Explore how our faith and heart posture toward God animate why, where, and how much we give.
  • Week 4: Debt – While the Bible doesn’t prohibit the use of debt, it does offer strong warnings against it. We’ll discuss why limiting debt is the best path forward.
  • Week 5: Saving – Discover the wisdom of saving for a reason and saving for a season.

The Details:

  • When: Starts Sunday, October 18th from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM (during the first gathering). The class will meet at this time for 5 consecutive weeks.

It emphasizes that good soil does not exert effort but remains receptive to the seed of God’s word. The community is invited to gather for worship, enjoy a cookout, and participate in events such as Baptisms and Connect Groups starting this September.
