Revelation 6 | Who can Stand?

Four horsemen. A cry from under the altar. The sun going dark and the whole world running for cover.

Revelation 6 is where a lot of people stop reading. But it may be one of the most honest pictures in the Bible of the world we live in. Power grabs. Violence. The rich insulated while the poor go hungry. Death. Then it all starts over. This is what happens when we try to hold the world together apart from the one who holds the world.

And the people of Jesus get caught in the crossfire.  We live in a love story of a world at war! So Revelation 6 leaves us with two questions: Who can stand up under this? And who can stand when it’s over? The answer to both is the same Lamb, slain and standing at the center of the throne.

Everything will shake, but everyone in Jesus will stand.
